1st January - New Year's Day Mixed Social Tennis from 2pm

There will be a perfect opportunity to run off all that Christmas food and drink with some tennis on New Years Day....

  • Everyone welcome, turn up and play
  • See in the New Year in proper tennis style
  • Bring your leftover festive treats to share in the bar afterwards

In the meantime, there are plenty of courts available every day!

May I wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas

RLTC Coaching Team Update

It is with great pleasure that I’m able to confirm that Tom Richards will become Senior Coach working under our new Head Coach Phil Thomas, starting in the New Year. Phil commented, “I’m delighted that we have secured the services of a very popular and respected RLTC Coach, and Tom will play a big part in helping to shape the new Radyr Tennis Academy.”  Tom added, “I’m very excited for the future at Radyr, I love working here and I very much appreciate the support I’ve had from the members.”

New Head Coach

I’m both delighted and excited to announce that Radyr LTC has a new Head Coach, starting on Jan 1st 2019. Following our advert on the LTA website back in October, we were very pleased to have a number of very strong applications. Now, after a thorough process involving members representing all sections of the club, and our governing body Tennis Wales, we have appointed Phil Thomas to the role. Phil impressed us with his vision for the club, experience, energy and enthusiasm for tennis, and on court visibly improved a number of our juniors in a single session.

Autumn Internationals clubhouse bar open

You will be pleased to hear that the bar will be open for the Welsh rugby autumn internationals. Work up a thirst by playing some tennis first, and then enjoy the match with a well earned tipple! Our thanks once again to Mags for running the bar - I know she would very much appreciate some help serving behind the bar to enable the club to keep the turnover ticking along as it should.

What a Saturday that was....

Last Saturday, close on 100 members enjoyed a fabulous day of tennis finals, teas, a drink or two, and a party. It was great to see so many from across the whole club benefitting from the superb efforts from an army of volunteers. I include in that army those responsible for the upkeep of the courts, grounds and clubhouse, the tournament organisers, the umpires, the tea team, the bar manager and helpers, the Race Night organisers, and those that cleared up - days like that don’t happen without volunteers.

Saturday Oct 20th Full Schedule

Following some epic battles along the way here are the Finalists for our 2018 RLTC Handicap and Plate Tournaments along with the provisional days match schedule. Exact timimgs depending upon length of matches. Good to see both non team players and representatives from most of our 11 summer adult teams involved. Supporters much appreciated!
